Where His hope is found!
The Church is not a building or a denomination, but the body of Christ whose purpose is to bring glory and honor to our Heavenly Father. We stand on the Word of God, and believe that with God all things are possible. By setting aside manmade rules and traditions we allow Holy Spirit to move among us and strengthen us.
Our mission is to fulfill the Great Commission by reaching a lost world and sharing the Gospel of Christ, to love God with all of our heart, and to love one another as Jesus loves us.
Brian and his wife, Amanda, committed their lives to the ministry in 2018. They have a passion for sharing the Word of God with those in need and supporting their community through various ministries. They are also owners of an established business, Lakeside Landscaping, specializing in landscape design and maintenance. If you've spent any time in the Midlands, you've likely spotted one of their work trucks on the job. Most of all, Brian and Amanda enjoy spending time with their daughters: Summer, Kaitlyn, and Brynli.
Harold and his wife, Charlene, have been in the ministry since 1975. Harold has pastored several churches in the Southeast and now both Harold and Charlene serve as elders at Holy Grounds. They have two children that also serve in ministry and seven beautiful grandchildren. If Harold isn't at church or helping his neighbors, there is a good chance you'll find him in his garden (or making home-made ice cream!).
Jesus met people where they were. He had compassion on those seeking truth and welcomed them. We believe we should do the same, and invite you to come as you are. No matter where you've been in life or what you're going through, we welcome you here!
The account of Pentecost in the book of Acts is the first time in Scripture that we see the mighty move of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is always present, but when we worship and praise God together, His power can be felt in a tangible way. Just as David expressed his praise and adoration in the Psalms, we worship with the same excitement!
It was customary in Jesus' day to break bread together. His Last Supper is the perfect example of how we can share love by sharing a meal. We regularly gather together for fellowship and good home-cooked food, and we invite you to gather 'round the table with us.
Each month we prepare and serve meals for the homeless through the ministry at Samaritan's House in Orangeburg, SC. In addition, we provide one-on-one assistance through clothing, meals, and shelter whenever the opportunity arises.
